The Company Sigunik Studio is a uniquely specialized decorative arts studio, known for the highly-refined use of traditional parchment produced from animal/ fish hides, as well as leather, wood and metal to fabricate custom furniture and architectural surfaces.
We work closely with the tannery and other skilled tradespeople.
Our clients include architects, interior designers, and other artisans, to produce bespoke work for the luxury market.
The Job Seeking an individual with proven fabrication skills, willing to learn new and challenging techniques in a small, old-world workshop setting.
You will assist in a variety of tasks in all of the above disciplines, to produce custom furniture, decorative objects, and wall panels for the interior design trade.
All work is custom in nature, and will require flexibility of tasks according to the unique requirements of each project.
Basic Considerations for Applicants:
Ability to focus while working.
Attention to detail.
Proficiency with woodworking tools (table saw (sliding), bandsaw, router, etc.
) Competence with Fusion 360.
Ability to communicate with subcontractors and vendors within the related skilled trades.
Ability to keep the shop clean and organized.
Basic welding skills are a plus, but not a requirement.
