JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE
The Manufacturing Manager is a direct report to the Site Leader. This position is responsible for operations. Oversee the production planning, staffing, and day-to-day manufacturing operations in a lean and cost-effective manner. Ensure a safe operating environment in all areas of responsibility.
Monitor production orders or schedules to ensure product(s) and scheduled delivery dates are met.
Drive Lean Manufacturing throughout operations including 5S, SMED Techniques, Pull Production, Visual Factory, and TPM. Develop and monitor departmental budgets. Resolve operational manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. Develop and work with supervisors in all areas such as employee relations, problem solving, setting and achieving goals, manufacturing processes, scheduling, disciplinary actions, terminations, equipment problems, etc. Provide assistance to employees and supervisors in solving work related problems. Evaluate the issue and meet with supervisors and human resources to determine the most effective remediation technique. Develop and revise standard operational and working practices including appropriate cross training and observe employees to ensure compliance. Keeps the Site Leader and the appropriate department members informed of major activities, events and submits problems or situations requiring interpretation, advice or judgment, and follows with action to implement decisions; assumes and accepts general responsibilities included below.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES
Education:
BS Degree, Mechanical Engineering, Operations or Business. If Operations or Business degree must have experience with manufacturing of a technical product.
Experienced manager with a track record of 5 years of growth in a technical manufacturing environment including total responsibility for an entire manufacturing operation which has met customer demand and has gone on to grow the output of the facility.
Experienced in driving Lean Manufacturing methodologies in high mix/low volume operation.
Strong project experience, strong communication, cross-functional and leadership capabilities.
Excellent demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, strategic skills, and problem solving.
Self-starter who can thrive in a dynamic team environment and produce results with minimal management guidance.
Superb communication skills both verbal and written.
Experienced with SIOP and demand planning.
Experience with Access and various computer programs including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Superior interpersonal skills.
Ability to perform multi-faceted projects in rapidly changing environment.
Resourceful and well organized.
Other Essential Experience/Skills:
Familiar with all types of machine and cutting tools and machine shop practices.
Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing knowledge helpful.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
Self-starter, organized, thorough and meticulous, able to work under pressure.
Experience in a technical environment is preferable
Organized and thorough. Good communication skills.
Able to plan work and commit to meeting deadlines.
Dedicated to high degree of accuracy.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
